Hi, I'm CJ.
I'm a 26-year-old management consultant turned remote worker who ended up living in Stuttgart and spending every free weekend finding out what Europe actually looks like when you step off the tourist trail. Paris for three days is fine. Spending a week bouncing between Alsatian wine villages, German Christmas markets, and French mountain towns is a different experience entirely.
Bolt Abroad started as a personal record — a way to organize what I'd found and share it with the people who asked "so how do I actually see Europe?" Not the highlight reel. The full picture, including the logistics, the mistakes, and the places worth the detour.
What This Blog Is
Destination guides built on real experience, not press trips or Google searches. I write about places I've personally visited, food I've actually eaten, hotels I've slept in, and trains I've missed.
